The Country’s Most Expensive Home is Mind-Bogglingly Luxurious

We’re all prone to the occasional daydream about how the other half lives, fantasizing about a life of expensive homes, fancy cars, and luxurious vacations. It’s easy to let our imaginations run wild with thoughts of poolside bottle service and mega mansions, but what if we told you there’s a home out there that will surpass even your wildest conceptions of luxury?

Enter 924 Bel Air Rd., the most expensive home in America, currently on the market for a cool $250 million.

One of the World’s Most Luxurious Homes

The home boasts 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, six bars, three kitchens, two wine cellars, an 85-foot infinity swimming pool, a fitness center, a most advanced home theater, and a massage room and spa. The numbers alone would inspire awe and bewilderment.

Ultra-Luxurious Getaway

The ultra-modern Bel Air, California home is the creation of Bruce Makowsky, a real-estate developer who the New York Times describes as a “60-year-old walking luxury ad.”

$250 Million Price Point

This property, which Makowsky simply calls “Billionaire,” is perched at an unprecedented $250 million price point. The home sits on one acre and boasts 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms and three kitchens, numbers that would inspire awe and bewilderment on their own, but seem secondary to the home’s other features.

Arrive by Helicopter

When entering the home from the driveway, residents and guests descend a steel staircase, which hovers over an indoor pool. Unless, of course, they arrive by helicopter.

Infinity Pool

One of the mansion’s most iconic features is undoubtedly the infinity pool that looks out over a jaw-dropping view of downtown Los Angeles, equipped with enough lounge chairs to accommodate a crowd during poolside parties.

If lounging next to the pool isn’t good enough, you can always lounge in it on one of the pool’s “floating” lounge chairs, all while feeling as though you can reach out and touch the Los Angeles skyline.

Commanding View

The home’s several outdoor living areas could be used for business meetings or spending an evening with friends, all while enjoying what Makowsky calls “the single most spectacular view in California.” On clear days, you can see out to the Malibu shoreline and over to the San Gabriel Mountains.

Sleek and Modern

This house is perfect if you want every aspect of your life to resemble an ultra-luxe music video. Glass is one of the mansion’s primary construction materials, resulting in a sleek, modern, minimalist aesthetic fellow-billionaire Christian Grey would approve of.

Floor-to-Ceiling Windows

Enjoy unparalleled views through floor-to-ceiling windows through any of the home’s 12 bedrooms. Something tells us getting a good night’s sleep wouldn’t be hard in a room like this one.

As if the sheer act of being inside this house wouldn’t make you feel like enough of a VIP, you can also relax in a lounge sectioned off by a velvet rope, amongst portraits of the world’s most famous stars.

The Bar

Said velvet-roped lounge is adjacent to a full bar and huge television screen, so there’s literally no excuse for being bored in this place.

Cars Come With!

These aren’t just for show. According to the Los Angeles Times, a full fleet of exotic cars come right along with the home’s purchase. The laundry list of luxury vehicles includes a Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, and a vintage Allard.

Polished Steel Staircase

Every detail in the home screams extravagance to the highest extreme –– even the surfaces you walk on. The home’s polished steel staircase, for example, cost a cool $2 million.

$3,500 Place Settings

Yes, even place settings are designer. Roberto Cavalli designed the $3,500 place settings which are, like everything else in the home, included with purchase.

You should have realized by now that, in a house like this one, one decked-out dining table simply is not enough.

Another, for Poolside Entertaining

Two decked-out dining tables aren’t enough, either. This one is perfect or entertaining poolside, not that your guests wouldn’t be entertained enough already.

Get Pumped

If you were worried you’d have to drive to a gym to work out, don’t be ridiculous.“Billionaire” comes with a full gym, equipped with free weights and cardio equipment.

Personal Masseuse

Billionaires need to relax too, you know. Lucky for us, one of the seven staffers included in the purchase price is a masseuse. Around-the-clock massages, whenever we feel like it? We’re listening.

Living Room

With so many living areas available, where does one even choose to host Jay-Z and Beyonce for pre-dinner cocktails? This might be the perfect spot.

Vintner’s Dream

A home like this is made for entertaining, which means it needs the booze to show for it. The home’s two (two!) wine cellars are stocked with hundreds of bottles of elite vintages, the LA Times reports.

Gallery Installation

There aren’t many places where a gallery installation of Snow White’s seven dwarves –– decked out in vibrant colors –– would seem normal, but anything is possible in a house this extravagant. Rich people are supposed to be eccentric anyway, right?

In this mansion, the office is only steps away from the helicopter pad, which is visible through the room’s floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Talk about a short commute.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Every home office should have a couple of motorcycles parked on the countertop – just in case you need to make a quick getaway.

Entertainment and attractions abound at 924 Bel Air Road, including a 4-lane bowling alley with gold-and-silver-plated bowling pins (regular bowling pins are for peasants) and shoes in every size.

Making Willy Wonka Proud

We’ve now entered a 7-year-old’s paradise. Adjacent to the bowling alley is a full wall of candy and glass foosball tables, making for what would arguably be the most epic birthday party of all time.

Gaming Tables

Whilst playing pool and ping pong at the game area’s custom glass gaming tables, be extra careful not to hit a ball too hard and damage some of the world’s most expensive cars.

Movie Night

Netflixing on a laptop while lying in bed? Please. The homes James Bond-themed movie theater comes pre-loaded with 7,000 movies for guests’ viewing pleasure.

For the Super Wealthy

Designer Bruce Makowsky explained, “After spending lots of time on mega yachts and large private jets that can sell from $50 million to $500 million, it baffled me that no one was developing luxury real estate at those high levels for the super wealthy.”

Executive Course

Take time to practice your putt on the golf green, mulligans included.
