It has been almost 20 years since The Sopranos made a stir. People are still talking about the revolutionary show and its fabulous cast. Let’s take a look at what they’ve done since the show ended. 

1. Michael Imperioli

Michael Imperioli played the impulsive Christopher Moltisanti in The Sopranos. Decided to avoid being typecast, he has been trying different genres of film and TV productions, such as The Lovely Bones and action film Oldboy. His new show Lincoln is coming out soon.

2. Edie Falco

Edie Falco’s perfect performance as the feisty wife Carmela Soprano won her numerous awards and a great reputation. She moved on quickly from her iconic role and succeeded in starring in a variety of series, such as the dark comedy Nurse Jackie. Now we’re waiting for her new show Tommy. 

3. Tony Sirico

Tony Sirico’s capricious character Paulie “Walnuts” Gualtieri definitely raised his profile. Though appearing in many hit films, the veteran actor seems relatively confined to playing the gangster role. He is trying to break through by voicing cartoon characters.

4. Lorraine Bracco

Lorraine Bracco portrayed the gangster leader’s psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer Melfi perfectly. After the show came to an end, she starred in many hit films and TV shows, such as Goodfellas. The awards-winning actress later in 2015 revealed her long struggle with weight loss.

5. Jamie-Lynn Sigler

Jamie-Lynn Sigler reached her peak as the sweet daughter Meadow Soprano. Although she starred in a number of thrillers and launched her music career, her health condition prevented her from making much of a splash in her career. Sigler has had multiple sclerosis since she was 20. 

6. Maureen And Steven Van Zandt

The real-life couple Maureen and Steven Van Zandt starred in The Sopranos as Gabriella and Silvio Dante. Acting is only a part-time gig for singer Steven: he made his success by playing guitar in the E Street Band. The two recently appeared in Netflix’s The Christmas Chronicles.

7. Robert Iler

Robert Iler is best known for his portrayal of A.J. Soprano, a troubled young boy with self-esteem issues. After the series ended, he almost quit his acting career and became a professional poker player. 

8. Dominic Chianese 

Having graced The Godfather Part II as a gangster, veteran Dominic Chianese successfully portrayed Corrado “Junior” Soprano as an old school mobster. As well as an actor, Dominic is also a tenor. During his free time, He used to raise money for charity through singing.

9. Drea de Matteo

The character Adrian La Cerva, a nightclub owner, helped Drea de Matteo launch her career. Her post-HBO career is also thriving, from starring in Desperate Housewives to the crime drama Shades of Blue. She is now hosting a rewatch podcast of The Sopranos. 

10. Steve Schirripa

Steve Schirripa played the big-hearted and gentle Bobby Bacala in The Sopranos. After the show, Steve brought his goombas persona into game shows and even wrote goombas-themed books. Steve also launched his vegan pasta sauces business in 2014.

11. Aida Turturro

Aida Turturro portrayed the manipulative and possibly least likable character, Janice Soprano. Just like the other cast members, she has continued her acting career since the show ended. Aida has reunited with her Sopranos co-stars in shows like Nurse Jackie and Law & Order.

12. Vincent Pastore 

Vincent Pastore played the anxious Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero in The Sopranos. After his character met his end, he was frequently cast in other shows and films, such as Once Upon in Brooklyn. Similar to Steve Schirripa, Vincent also launched his own italian tomato sauce brand in 2019.

13. Vincent Curatola 

Vincent Curatola successfully portrayed the manipulative but loyal Johnny Sacramoni. After he finished his spell with HBO, Vincent often appeared in other TV shows, including Law & Order. He also appeared on stage as a singer with the rock band Chicago several times. 

14. John Ventimiglia

John Ventimiglia portrayed the insecure personal chef Artie Bucco in The Sopranos. After the show, John continued his acting career. He had regular and guest roles in other TV series, such as Blue Bloods and The Good Wives. He has also appeared in musicals and indie films. 

15. Federico Castelluccio

Federico Castelluccio played the brutal Italian gangster Furio Giunta in The Sopranos. After the series, in addition to playing small parts in films, Federico spent most of his time painting. His Old Master style paintings have been recognized by art critics around the world.

16. Kathrine Narducci

Kathrine Narducci played the role of Charmaine Bucco, Artie’s wife, in The Sopranos. In the following years, Kathrine played supporting roles in films like Jersey Boys and The Irishman, and starred in gangster and crime-themed productions, including the series Power. 

17. Joe Pantoliano 

Joe Pantoliano successfully portrayed the violent soldier Ralph Cifaretto in The Sopranos. Later, Joe also gained a big reputation after appearing in numerous high-profile productions, including Empire of the Sun. When he’s not acting, Joe writes and publishes books about his life and mental issues.   

18. Annabella Sciorra 

Annabella Sciorra entertained audiences with her role as the businesswoman Gloria Trillo. Annabella has had quite a smooth acting career before and after the HBO show, from starring in films like True Love to appearing in key episodes in the GlOW series.

19. Steve Buscemi 

Having played the jailbird Tony Blundetto in The Sopranos, Steve Buscemi has had quite the career. Before the show came up, Steve had already hit the big time with a number of 90s’ films, such as Con Air. After the show, his career became even more celebrated due to his role in the Boardwalk Empire series. 

20. Jerry Adler

Jerry Adler starred as the shrewd businessman Herman Rabkin, who stays out of trouble for the most part. After the show, he went on to act in major TV productions and stage shows, and has built on his success in Rescue Me and The Good Wife.
